The Education Sector of Kurdistan Save the Children participated in the first International Kid’s Festival in Kurdistan on the 1st of June 2007!

 

On the occasion of the International Children’s Day and under the supervision the of Ministry of Culture of Kurdistan Regional Government, a festival lasting for six days was arranged for Kurdish children in the city of Erbil. Several organizations and Children’s Music Bands from inside and outside of Kurdistan took part in the festival.

 

The Education Sector and Media department of our organization actively participated in all of the days of the festival.

 

The activities were:

 

·          A graphic exhibition, paintings and Kurdish dance by the children of Sara Kaziwa Cultural Centre.

·          Several performances by Children’s Music Bands of Sulaimaniya and Duhok.

·          A performance on Kurdish traditional drums by the Children’s Drum Band of Kaziwa Cultural Centre of Darbandixan.

·          A presentation of artistic work by the Kaziwa Cultural Centre of Kirkuk.

·          Computer, painting and graphic workshops for a number of the students of KSC’s Exemplary School and members of the Children’s Parliament.

·          Children's entertainment by KSC's robot, which was made the Kirkuk Youth Activity Centre.
