On June 24, on the occasion of the International Day against Drug Abuse, the Art Department of the Youth Activity Centre in Sulaimaniya participated in an exhibition, organized by Kurdistan Women Union, by contributing 7 paintings.
The aim of the exhibition was to raise awareness of major problems that illicit drugs represent to a society, and, especially, to the young people.
Also from June 1st to September 1st, the Art Department of the Youth Activity Centre in Sulaimaniya launched a training course in fine arts for 20 youths .
The aim of this course is to prepare those youths for admission to the Institute of Fine Arts next year.
