A cochlear implant project

On June 1, International Children’s Day, KSC started a new project, in which children with congenital hearing problems or who lost hearing due to an accident will receive a cochlear implant, a surgically implanted electronic device that allows a child to hear.

The project, worth US $ 300,000, is carried out in several complementary stages.

The initial surgical implant is followed by training the child to differentiate sounds, to attach meanings to them, and, later, to learn how to speak.
